Purpose and scope of personal data processing        

We process he data of our users, e.g. in the context of the registration for our Conference, principally just for the purpose of the function of our website, the providing of our contents and offers and for the registration to the Conference. The processing of the user data is done according to the legal framework of the General Data Protection Regulation

Verarbeitung der personenbezogenen Daten unserer Nutzer erfolgt in Einklang und nach den gesetzlichen Vorschriften der Datenschutzgrundverordnung (Regulation (EU) 2016/679)  and – if applicable – laws of Saxony Anhalt (Landesdatenschutzgesetz Sachsen-Anhalt).

At the Conference photographs will be taken for the purpose of documentation and public relations.

Legal background for the processing of personal data  

The processing of personal data occurs only when the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a Regulation (EU) 2016/679.  Here we generally comply with the requirements of Art. 7 v for a consent.

We also process data, when processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

When the processing of personal data is necessary to meet a legal obligation, the Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. c Regulation (EU) 2016/679 provides the legal basis.

If data processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, we process the data according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Legitimate interests       

The processing for the above mentioned purposes is performed due to the following interests:

  • Safety, protection of the website
  • Handling of requests
  • Statistical analysis for the optimization of the website and the online offers
  • Presentation of our events on the website and in other media

Categories of addressees             

Your personal data will be send to our commissioned service provider.

Transmission in non-member countries     

A transmission in non-member countries does not occur.

Duration of data storage    

Personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer valuable for the above mentioned purposes.

Rights of the data subject     

The data subject shall have the right to obtain from the controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and the following information according to Art. 15 Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Further, the data subject got the rights to rectification (Art. 16), to erase (Art. 17) to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21) according to Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Withdrawal of consent     

Thedata subject shall have the right to withdraw his or her consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority        

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, every data subject shall have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of his or her habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if the data subject considers that the processing of personal data relating to him or her infringes this Regulation, see Art. 77 Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Obligation to provide personal data                   

There is no obligation to provide personal data. If a person does not provide their personal information, this person unfortunately cannot use the information offers on our website or contact form.

Contact form and E-Mail contact            

A contact form is included in our website. When using this form, we process the following data:

  • E-Mail adress
  • Name and institution of  the data subject
  • Content of the message
  • Date and timet
  • Address of the website that offers the imprint
  • At the International Bioeconomy Conference and other events by us, there will be taken photographs

Otherwise, the data subject my use the E-Mail address to get in contact, therefore the above mentioned data will not be collected. In this case, the information provided in the mail will be processed.

There is no transmission to a third party. The data is only collected and processed to answer your request.
